Business & Technology Consulting/ Murray, Kentucky/Est. 2021

Practical consulting for businesses outgrowing how they work today

A business and technology consulting firm in Murray, Kentucky. We work directly with owners and leadership teams to sharpen strategy, straighten out operations, and make technology earn its place.

Who We Work With

Organisations at the point where informal stops working

Practical guidance across strategy, operations, process improvement and technology adoption — delivered by the person doing the work, not a rotating team.

01

Startups

Founders putting structure around a business that is finding its shape.

02

Small & midsize businesses

Established operations carrying processes and systems that no longer fit.

03

Growing organisations

Leadership teams adding capacity, sites or systems without adding friction.

In Their Words

“JY Advisory helped us step back from the day-to-day noise and actually understand what was holding the business back. Jenna challenged some of our assumptions, helped us restructure our priorities, and gave us a much clearer direction for the next stage of growth. The difference was having someone who looked at the business objectively and asked the right questions.”

Amelia RobertsFounder & CEO, Northstar Commerce

“We knew our processes were becoming inefficient, but we couldn't clearly identify where the problems were coming from. JY Advisory mapped out our operations, identified several bottlenecks, and helped us redesign the way our teams worked together. What stood out was how practical the recommendations were — we weren't handed a complicated framework; we were given solutions we could actually implement.”

Marcus WilliamsManaging Director, Crestline Logistics

“We initially approached JY Advisory because we wanted to explore AI, but the conversation quickly became bigger than simply adding another technology to the business. Jenna helped us identify where automation would genuinely create value and where it wouldn't. We ended up with a much more efficient workflow and, more importantly, a clearer understanding of how technology fits into our wider business strategy.”

Five practice areas

Engagements are scoped narrowly and delivered practically. Most begin in one area and touch a second — a growth question turns out to be an operations question, an AI question turns out to be a data question. Start wherever the problem is loudest.

Not sure which area your problem sits in?

That is a common starting point. Describe the situation and we'll tell you plainly where it belongs — and whether we're the right firm for it.

Services/Practice Area I

Strategy & Management

Direction that holds up under scrutiny — and a management structure capable of carrying it.

What this area covers

Strategy work here starts with how the business actually operates rather than with a framework. We look at where revenue comes from, what it costs to serve, which parts of the organisation are carrying the weight, and which decisions keep getting deferred.

From there the work is to set a direction the leadership team can commit to, sequence it into something achievable over the next twelve to twenty-four months, and put the structure, roles and accountability in place to deliver it.

Engagements are advisory and hands-on in equal measure: analysis and recommendations, then support while the changes are actually made.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • Growth has flattened and the reasons aren't clear from inside the business
  • Too many priorities, none of them fully resourced
  • A leadership team that disagrees on the direction, or agrees but can't execute
  • Roles and reporting lines inherited from a much smaller company
  • A major change — new market, new site, acquisition — that needs structuring

Services In This Area

Management Consulting

An outside read on how the business is run: where decisions get made, what the numbers say, and which of the current constraints are real. Delivered as findings and a prioritised set of recommendations.

Growth Strategy

Where the next stage of revenue comes from and what it will take to serve it — segments, offer, pricing structure, capacity and the sequence in which to move.

Business Transformation

Larger change programmes — restructuring, consolidation, a new operating model — planned in stages the organisation can absorb, with the operational detail worked through rather than assumed.

Organizational Development

Structure, roles, responsibilities and decision rights — clarified so the organisation can grow without every question routing back to the owner.

Services/Practice Area II

Operations

The quiet drag of processes built for a smaller company — found, documented and rebuilt.

What this area covers

Most operational problems are not dramatic. They are a handoff that requires a phone call, a spreadsheet three people maintain differently, an approval step nobody can explain. Individually they are tolerable; together they set a ceiling on what the business can handle.

The work begins by mapping how things run today — not how the manual says they run. Bottlenecks, duplication and rework get named, measured where possible, and ranked by what they cost.

Then processes are redesigned, documented so they survive staff changes, and automated where automation is genuinely the right answer rather than a way of hiding a bad process.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • Operations that became inefficient as the business grew
  • Manual and duplicated work consuming senior time
  • Nothing documented, so quality depends on who happens to be in
  • Orders, cases or jobs stalling between teams with no clear owner
  • Headcount rising faster than output

Services In This Area

Operations

A full read of how the business runs day to day — capacity, handoffs, workload distribution and the operational reporting leadership relies on. Output is a clear picture of where the friction is and what to do about it first.

Process Improvement

Individual processes mapped, simplified and rebuilt with the people who run them — then documented in a form the team will actually use and maintain.

Business-Process Automation

Repetitive administrative work — data entry, routing, reconciliation, reporting — moved off people and into reliable automated steps, once the underlying process is sound.

Services/Practice Area III

Technology & AI

Systems that talk to each other, work that runs itself, and a clear line between useful AI and novelty.

What this area covers

Technology work is approached as a business question first. Before anything is built or bought, we establish what the system is meant to change about how the company operates — and whether a simpler fix would get most of the benefit.

That includes an honest position on AI. Some processes are transformed by it; many are better served by a clean integration or a well-designed form. We help identify which is which, then implement the parts that carry a real return.

Where custom software is the right answer, we scope it tightly, keep it maintainable, and make sure the business is not left dependent on something nobody internally understands.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • Business systems that don't communicate with each other
  • Pressure to “do something with AI” without a clear business case
  • Staff re-entering the same information into three different tools
  • Software that was bought but never properly adopted
  • A product idea that needs validating before it is built

Services In This Area

AI Consulting

An assessment of where AI creates genuine business value in your operation and where it does not — with the cost, risk and change-management implications stated plainly rather than assumed away.

AI Workflow & Automation Services

Specific workflows rebuilt with AI and automation handling the repetitive portion — document handling, drafting, triage, summarisation — with people kept at the points where judgement matters.

AI Agents & Integrations

Agents and integrations that connect the tools a business already runs on, so information moves between systems without manual re-entry — built with clear boundaries and human oversight.

Software Development

Internal tools and custom applications built for the gap that off-the-shelf software cannot close — scoped narrowly, documented, and handed over in a maintainable state.

SaaS / Software Products

Support for organisations turning internal capability into a product — validating demand, shaping the offer and planning a build that can be supported commercially.

Services/Practice Area IV

Data & Analytics

Reporting that answers the question being asked, and analysis leadership can act on.

What this area covers

Most businesses already hold the information needed to make better decisions. It is spread across accounting software, an operational system and several spreadsheets, and it rarely gets combined into a form that answers a leadership question directly.

The work is to establish which numbers actually matter for the decisions in front of the business, get them reliable and consistently defined, and present them so that the reporting pack is read rather than filed.

Analysis is written for owners and boards, not for analysts: what the data shows, what it does not support, and what decision it implies.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • Two reports on the same metric that disagree
  • Monthly packs that take days to assemble and are barely used
  • No clear view of margin by product, client or site
  • A significant decision — hire, invest, exit a line — needing a defensible case
  • Data scattered across systems with no single reliable source

Services In This Area

Data & Analytics

Consolidating the information a business already holds into consistent, trustworthy reporting — a defined set of measures, an agreed source for each, and dashboards or packs built around the decisions being made.

Financial / Business Analysis

Analysis of business and financial information to support a specific decision: profitability by line or client, cost-to-serve, scenario modelling, and the case for or against a planned commitment.

Services/Practice Area V

Blockchain & Digital Assets

A sober read on whether distributed ledgers or digital assets belong in the business at all.

What this area covers

Blockchain and digital assets attract more interest than they usually warrant. The useful version of this conversation is narrow: are there transactions, records or counterparties in this business where a shared, tamper-evident ledger solves a problem a conventional database does not?

Often the answer is no, and saying so early saves a great deal of money. Where the answer is yes — multi-party record-keeping, provenance and traceability, tokenised access or settlement — we work through the operational, accounting and regulatory consequences before anything is committed to.

This is advisory work, not implementation for its own sake, and it is not investment advice.

Problems we're brought in to solve

  • A board or investor asking whether the business should have a blockchain strategy
  • Supply-chain provenance or traceability requirements from a large customer
  • Record-keeping shared across several parties that none of them fully trusts
  • A vendor proposal that needs independent assessment
  • Digital-asset exposure that has arrived without policy or controls around it

Services In This Area

Blockchain & Digital Assets

Advisory on use-case viability, vendor and proposal assessment, provenance and traceability design, and the operational policy and controls required if digital assets are held or accepted. Recommendations state plainly where a conventional system would serve the business better.

How We Work

One consultant, direct throughout

Problem first

Engagements start with how the business actually operates, not with a methodology. The scope follows the problem.

Recommendations you can implement

Deliverables are written to be acted on by the team that has to live with them — not filed as a report.

Honest scope

If a piece of work isn't worth doing, or isn't ours to do, we say so at the outset rather than at the invoice.
